South African democracy seems to be an outlandish

                                                           Our democracy is frightening

We all know that South Africa is run by corrupt people. One can say much about the scandals that have been happening in our country that we are been fooled by our representatives. After reading and following cases that has been happening in our country since the beginning of the year up until now, I found that our government doesn’t do their work properly and they tend to fool us by portraying themselves as good fellow citizens who do their work accurately. Like for instance, if we can look at what Malema and his fellow colleagues did and/or that case of our former SAPS General (Bheki Cele), one can argue why didn’t they find them guilty and be sent to jail instead of dismissing them. One can argue that why are still continuing to select dishonest people to represent us and/or are we threatened by what happened to our parents back in the days.
Now the question is that why didn’t they let them to suffer for their consequences or is there anything that they don’t want us to discover?

It's difficult to believe that people are pocketing so much money, and have so much privilege, while the masses suffer in shacks. Now I tend to question myself what is democracy as I see no improvement in the lives of black poor majority especially those living in rural areas. We need to stand together and support one another but as I look as this, it doesn’t seem like we are united and showing Ubuntu.
We need to lead by an example to other countries as we are been known for our good deeds and be reckoned for our effective service delivery.
Let’s not disappoint our fore-fathers who fought for us to have democracy and let’s continue building what they started. Let’s be united and showcase our talents and our capabilities

  1. the trouble here is that black people have learnt to accept their circumstances.. no matter how bad they are. we refuse to vote for other parties because we are afraid that they will treat us like the former government did.. so we accept all these things the ANC seems to be doing to us.

    1. In life you shouldn't be afraid to face reality. This people have condenmed our minds not to look at the future but to look back at what happened to our parents. Such thing would never build what our fore-fathers wished us to have. I think it's time for us to develop this country and let any other party to have that chance of ruling, maybe we will see change.

  2. You know I agree with that corruption is a big issues that is happening in South Africa and i see this issue being the problem even in the future because we tend to have that mentality that if they do it why not do it too

    1. True to that. They only think for themselves and they also forget that we are the one who put them in charge. Issues that we are experiencing now won't just dissapear unless we strike and nominate those who deserve to be elected and represent us. They are too gready.......

  3. Our leaders will always be corrupt because they think for themselves but not for the nation.I fully believe that if you do not have connection with the top dogs therefore you will be eaten by puppies.

    1. Of cause that's how they believe. You need to have connection in order to be protected and have that chance of getting money from the government. Our representatives will be corrupt forever because everyone of them know one another's secret.

  4. It is in human nature to strive or desire to acheive a certain goal, but once that goal has been acheived a shift in mind set evolves. While the black masses were under apartheid laws, they had a certain way of viewing the world, but now they have succeed their goal a shift in mind set evolved. The problem is that they have been suffering for so long that now they feel its their turn and they want to enjoy it while it lasts. Its not as if it was'nt been done before, the only difference is that now a black person is doing it and you know how they do it "Skhot So Hard"...@MokD21

    1. I agree with you interms of saying that is not as if it wasn't been done before. These people only think for themselves and let the poor people to suffer more while they(Representatives) enjoy a spoonful life out there in the suburban areas.
